Following on from its success in recent years, including its continued support of clients around the world, the firm has appointed Maria Scotland as the firm’s latest Consultant Barrister.
Maria specialises in high-end financial remedy applications and regularly works on cases with values in the multiple millions – providing the utmost discretion during the course of her work. She is also a strong advocate in private children’s law disputes, including those with an international element.
Ranked in the prestigious Legal 500 guide for her expertise in family law, she has years of experience supporting clients with complex international matters through her empathetic, but tenacious style.
Alongside this appointment, the firm has also promoted Melissa Doherty to the role of Associate. Melissa works on a wide range of family law matters, including divorce proceedings, financial settlements, matters relating to children’s residence, and contact with one or either parent.
She has acted for a variety of clients, including high net worth and international individuals, bringing an approach that strikes the important balance of sensitivity and pragmatism.
Much of her work involves supporting clients around the globe, who turn to her for expert advice.
